ScanSource Inc., Greenville, S.C., recently announced a new management structure in order to enhance its worldwide technology markets focus and growth strategy. In support of that new structure, the company announced several new worldwide management appointments.
Christy Thompson was named vice president of worldwide marketing. Thompson leads the company’s marketing and branding initiatives across all geographies with a focus on integrating systems and processes, as well as creating comprehensive results-driven marketing strategies. Thompson joined ScanSource in 2005 as director of strategic marketing and has more than 16 years of experience in marketing leadership positions.
ScanSource also added new worldwide controllership positions, including the promotion of Len Parramore to vice president and controller, Worldwide Barcode and Security, and Tim Ramsey to vice president and controller, Worldwide Communications and Services. Parramore and Ramsey are responsible for the financial planning, analysis and controllership of their respective business segments, enabling the business unit leadership to more easily and quickly identify opportunities and challenges.
Prior to being appointed to this role, Parramore held multiple positions within the company, including director of corporate accounting and most recently, controller of North American Operations. He joined the company in 2007 after spending more than 12 years as a Certified Public Accountant, where he was a senior manager in the Assurance and Advisory Practice.
Tim Ramsey joined ScanSource in 2005 and previously served as vice president, Worldwide Reseller Financial Services, where he managed the company’s financial services offerings in all geographies. Prior to joining ScanSource, Ramsey spent more than a decade at Michelin North America Inc. in various financial leadership roles, including director of credit and business development, as well as worldwide purchasing.
David Hertwig was appointed the new vice president of Worldwide Reseller Financial Services, where he is responsible for planning, implementing and executing the company’s worldwide Reseller Financial Services strategy, as well as goal setting, receivable analysis and reporting oversight. Hertwig has been with ScanSource for 15 years, having most recently served as vice president of sales for ScanSource POS and Barcode. He previously served in sales management positions for ScanSource POS and Barcode and ScanSource Catalyst.
