Convergint Technologies, Schaumburg, Ill., named Ken Lochiatto president and chief operating officer, bringing his nearly 30 years of progressive leadership experience to the company.
In his new role, Lochiatto will help Convergint, which ranks as No. 5 on SDM’s Top Systems Integrators Report, continue its rapid growth and transition into an international company, said CEO Dan Moceri. The company been active on the acquisition front of late, bringing Tampa, Fla.-based Qualified Systems Contracting, Asia Pacific integrator ICD Security Solutions, and Canadian firm FSC into the fold in the last few months.
Lochiatto comes to Convergint from WMS Industries, where he most recently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of that company’s gaming division, a $700 million supplier to the global gaming business. He joined WMS after 22 years with General Electric Company, where he held general management, sales and corporate auditing positions.
As an engineer, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
