Universal Protection Service, a division of Universal Services of America and one of the largest providers of security services in the U.S., has acquired Industrial Security Service Corp. (ISSC) based in Houston, Texas. ISSC ranks high among local security companies, operating in a wide range of vertical business market segments in the greater Houston area.
“This deal was strategically vital as it significantly increases our presence and depth of resources in the Houston market, one that's very important to us," said Steve Jones, CEO of Universal Services of America. "ISSC has a solid reputation and quality force in one of the nation's largest cities, where we look forward to continuing to provide exceptional security service to all of our clients, new and existing.”
ISSC has been in the professional security business since 1954, and prides itself on having long–term clients of at least 10 years. Their offerings include specialties such as mobile and bicycle patrol services, dispatching and closed circuit TV monitoring, pipeline safety inspection, security consulting and design and safety surveys and audits. Clients range from commercial building complexes to industrial and manufacturing facilities to U.S. port facilities.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity of merging with Universal Services of America, a company that has been in business as long as we have and has the same ethical approach to conducting business,” said Chris Dempster, CEO of ISSC.
"It was very important to us to find a company with the same vision for their employees and customers to ensure that the combined company will continue the level of service ISSC employees and customers have grown to expect. I am pleased to say we have found such a company with Universal Services of America," continued Dempster..
