G4S Technology announced that it received the Award of Honor with Distinction from the National Safety Council, Nebraska. G4S Technology senior director of health, safety & environment, John F. Klimowicz, accepted the award on behalf of the company for eleven consecutive years of outstanding occupational safety and health program results and achievements. The award was presented during the National Safety Council, Nebraska Annual Awards Luncheon earlier this month. This took place as part of the Safety and Health Summit and Tradeshow at the Qwest Center, Omaha. G4S Technology received the Bronze Award of Honor in 2003, the Silver Award of Honor in 2004, the Gold Award of Honor in 2005, and the Award of Honor with Distinction from 2006 – 2013.
The Occupational Safety and Health Awards Recognition Program was established by the National Safety Council in 1984 to encourage and recognize excellence in accident prevention and loss control programs. To be considered for an award, a company must have an incident rate and lost work day case rate the same or better than the latest available industry average for their North American Industrial Classification (NAIC) as recorded by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics Estimates of Occupational Injury and Illness Incidence Rates. All companies considered for award recognition must have a written injury/illness prevention plan or equivalent.
“Safety continues to be our number one priority when it comes to conducting our business,” said Sam Belbina, President of G4S Technology. “We are very stringent when it comes to our safety policy and beliefs, and this award acknowledges our effort and commitment to safety and safety awareness. We greatly appreciate this honor bestowed by the National Safety Council.”
