Honeywell, Melville, N.Y., announced that Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 now supports four languages, including Latin American Spanish, French Canadian and Brazilian Portuguese, in addition to English.
The ability to offer a multilingual remote services solution enhances the user experience, helps dealers compete in emerging global markets and extends the value and reach of the award-winning platform, which lets consumers control security and automation functions, view cameras and receive alerts on compatible smart devices anywhere in the world.
“Home and business owners can now experience all of the great benefits of Honeywell Total Connect in their own language, while empowering our dealers to meet the needs of a key, emerging global customer base” said Alice DeBiasio, director of product marketing, Honeywell. “It’s also an excellent solution for the large number of multilingual homes and businesses in the U.S. Dealers can drive business and RMR in several ways—through new account sign-ups, conversions and the ability to offer Honeywell Total Connect to existing customers. When combined with our intrusion products, they’ve got a true, end-to-end security and remote services solution that no competitor in the industry can touch.”
The multilingual solution shares the same uniform icons and interface across Honeywell’s popular VISTA and LYNX Touch platforms—making operation intuitive and familiar and reducing end-user training time. All text elements—including tags, headers and labels for scenes, schedules, videos, event notifications and user preferences—will appear in the language selected at login. Customization is available for video recording schedules, time and date settings, device, and admin log events.
The user interface includes support for time zone selection, states, regions and provinces for specific countries. In addition, End User Licensing Agreements (EULA) and privacy statements are also available in multiple languages—improving the user experience while meeting countries’ legal obligations.
