Doyle Security Systems Inc., Rochester, N.Y., a regional provider of residential and commercial security, fire and other life safety systems announced the acquisition of the accounts of the Rochester-based Dakota Systems Inc.

Doyle Security Systems is ranked 45 in the 2014 SDM 100 list. It has been has been family owned and operated in Rochester, N.Y. since 1919.

According to President and Chief Executive Officer John G. Doyle Jr., the purchase will add approximately 300 accounts to Doyle Security Systems. Dakota Systems specialized in intrusion and fire systems, as well as closed-circuit television systems.

Doyle said the agreement will benefit their new customers in the greater Rochester area. "This merger will bring extensive value to Dakota customers. The depth and breadth of our experience at Doyle Security is second to none,” he said. “In particular, our new customers will have access to Doyle Total Connect, our home automation solution with remote mobile management and our award winning alarm monitoring service which is provided by our own UL-listed and CSAA “Five Diamond” certified central station."
