The Electronic Security Expo, which takes place in Baltimore, June 24 to 26, issued a call for entries for its ESX 2015 Innovation Awards, formerly named the Maximum Impact Awards. The new name denotes the competition’s renewed focus on celebrating the most impactful and groundbreaking technologies, according to an ESX press release.
This year emerging products and services are eligible, as well as those that have been field-tested. Companies are encouraged to enter both products and services that benefit the end users' experience and those that benefit dealers, integrators or monitoring companies' top line revenues and bottom line results.
"Our goal is to recognize those innovators who are driving our industry forward and improving both our offerings and our ability to run our companies efficiently and profitably," said George De Marco, ESX Chairman.
Awards will be given in 15 categories. Each category will be comprised of several sub-categories. New subcategories include DIY Security, Secure Wireless Communication Technology, and Activity Sensing/Medicine Management.
All entries will be included in the ESX 2015 Product Preview brochure and category winners will be featured in a showcase on the ESX 2015 trade show floor.
A new addition to this year's program is the ESX TechVision Challenge. During ESX, a selection of top category winners will be invited to present before a panel of judges. This head-to-head challenge will be used to crown ESX's most innovative product or service. More information on this event will be announced closer to the show.
All submissions are due April 1, 2015. Winners will be notified on April 15.
