DEFENDER, ADT Security’s exclusive Authorized Premier Provider, announced the promotion of Jim Boyce from president to president and CEO. DEFENDER's founder and now-former CEO, David P. Lindsey, will now serve as DEFENDER’s chairman of the board. “DEFENDER continues to be blessed with great success through our leaders who are committed to our four passions—Self Improvement, Systems are the Solution, Developing Leaders, and Ever Expanding Influence,” said Lindsey. “We have tremendous confidence in Jim to continue DEFENDER's growth trajectory and live out our enduring purpose of growing leaders. He has been instrumental in the growth of our company, and his efforts have been a true embodiment of our cultural ideals.”
Boyce, a native of Boston, Mass., joined DEFENDER's Board of Directors in 2010 and became the company's chief operating officer in October 2011. In June 2014, Boyce was called on to take the president's role. Prior to joining DEFENDER, Boyce served on the executive teams at Procter & Gamble and Convergys, both headquartered in Cincinnati.
“It is an honor to lead DEFENDER's growth and purpose as the CEO,” said Boyce. “I often say that I feel called to work at DEFENDER. I feel this way because DEFENDER cultivates success by growing its team members to lead, not only at work, but in their families and communities. As we say at DEFENDER, ‘Businesses Don't Grow, People Do!’”
Since its inception in 1998, DEFENDER has grown to be ADT's largest partner and its only Authorized Premier Provider for the home security brand ADT. In recent years, DEFENDER has been recognized nationally for its growth on the Inc. 500 List of Fastest Growing Companies, as well as the 30th top training organization in the world by Training Magazine.
