Honeywell Total Connect™ Remote Services
Honeywell Total Connect™ Remote Services helps dealers to secure more instances of recurring monthly revenue by offering in-demand remote connectivity to residential and commercial customers. The Total Connect app lets customers use mobile devices to access and manage features of their connected homes and businesses at any time, from anywhere. For example, users can:
- control security systems, Z-Wave® enabled lights, locks, thermostats and shades;
- access real-time GPS location information in order to check in on family members and employees, find missing vehicles or monitor and recover lost or stolen assets; and
- receive notifications and video clips about activity inside and/or outside homes and businesses via email, text messages or video notifications.

Honeywell will demonstrate an updated Total Connect at ISC West. Total Connect now offers better connectivity, automatic synching, and a more engaging user experience thanks to improved graphics and more options for end user scene creation.
SDM: Which security panels are these services compatible with?
Honeywell Total Connect™ Remote Services is compatible with commercial and residential VISTA, LYNX Touch and LYNX Plus security systems and will also fully integrate with the Lyric smart controller.
Telguard HomeControl
Available for DSC PowerSeries and IMPASSA panels, as well as 2GIG Go!Control panels, Telguard HomeControl allows dealers to offer cellular connectivity, interactive services and lifestyle management, all for OneRate. The HomeControl OneRate service plan — which replaces the previous pricing structure with a single flat price — includes Telguard cellular connectivity; remote arming; unlimited sensors; Z-Wave automations and schedules; upload/download; end user notifications; live and event-based video; two-way voice, based on panel capability; and 500MB or 21 days of video storage.

Telguard will be launching the new Telguard Mobile Installer Tools, a free app that makes installing and registering Telguard products faster and easier. With a smartphone, a technician can activate or replace Telguard devices, check signal strengths, and even leverage the barcode scanner reader to quickly and accurately capture the product serial number. The company will be introducing the Alarm.com Smart Thermostat, as well as new enhancements to the commercial offering and new tools to help dealers market and sell interactive services.
The Alarm.com Smart Thermostat offers multi-sensor learning, room-by-room temperature control, location-based automation, instant alerts and responsive saving based on external weather in one solution. It was designed with the professional channel in mind and includes installation and support features to help dealers deliver a great customer experience. This includes a “soft installation” process through the installer mobile app so that once the thermostat is wired the app configures the device to the home’s HVAC system.
At ISC West, Alarm.com will also showcase a new tablet-based interactive tool that dealers can use to demonstrate the features and benefits of the smart home.
