The EcoFlex mortise lock platform is now available with internal end-of-line resistors for comprehensive monitoring of the circuit between the access control panel and lock. Integrating the end-of-line resistors into the lock not only eliminates the risk of undetected tampering, but reduces installation costs, simplifies specification and offers the assurance of a factory installed and tested product. The locks are also now available with a deadbolt privacy function that disables remote access control unlocking (such as a keypad) or scheduled unlock when the deadbolt is engaged. Using this technology, facilities can apply request-to-exit, door position sensing and deadbolt monitoring to an electrified mortise lock opening with a single SKU. According to the company’s press release, the locks reduce energy consumption up to 96 percent compared with standard electrified mortise locks.
