Brad Casper has joined MKS as the new director of development. Casper began his 30-year career as a systems engineer for Rockwell International’s E911 System. This was the stepping stone to a number of positions in software development, application capacity planning, project management and IT leadership. Casper’s industry experience spans very large companies (Verizon, Citibank) to small start-ups, across the telecom, automotive, financial services and public utility industries.

Casper said, “I look forward to raising the bar in our ability to create usable features and enhancements that add customer value. I am anxious to implement best-in-class processes that will propel MKS to even higher achievements.” Casper said he has plans to prioritize the development workload, increase the speed and accuracy of the development team, provide resource estimations that enable accurate planning and increase understanding of the development process. Casper also holds three U.S. patents from previous positions: one hardware and two software patents.

Under his direction, the MKS development team has successfully completed the first layer of integration with the CSS Aeonix System. Casper has hosted both internal and external focus groups for continuous improvements on the look, feel and functionality of Stark, the new GUI Interface. Furthermore, he has improved the Q-&-A process and reporting as well has added two new full-time developers to the department. He is currently working with MKS President Victoria Ferro to create a developmental roadmap that will be presented at the MKS 2016 Users Conference in March and ISC West 2016 in April.

“We were very fortunate to have Brad. We hope his experience will leverage deeper relationships and integrations with our vendor partners and continue lead our central station automation and accounting packages to the forefront of the industry” said Ferro.
