With ISC East off to a good start, event organizer Reed Exhibitions along with the sponsorship of the Security Industry Association (SIA) are gearing up for the Connected Security Expo (CSE). Said to debut April 6-8, 2016 in Las Vegas and co-located with ISC West, also sponsored by SIA, CSE will include topics and strategies revolving around the cloud, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Internet of Things (IoT) so that industry professionals can experience physical security from an IT security perspective. The goal is for IT security professionals to join physical security leaders from a variety of verticals to explore how physical security can help mitigate cyber threats and bridge the gap between security and IoT through professional collaborations and discussions.
The role of chief information security officers (CISO) will be explored and educational tracks for CISOs and their teams will be offered on how to develop a holistic view of security from both logical and physical perspectives. Immersive experiences will also be offered to facilitate the sharing of information from security thought leaders, practitioners and exhibitors and will include smart IoT pavilions that allow attendees to view case studies, presentations and immersive showcases, an innovative stage featuring IoT presentations and keynote speeches as well as technical breakouts where attendees can participate in interoperability labs.
