The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) has named Stan Martin, executive director of the Security Industry Alarm Coalition, for membership in its outreach committee.

Founded in 1940, NSA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising the level of professionalism among sheriffs, their deputies and others in the field of criminal justice and public safety.

The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) represents one voice for the electronic security industry on alarm management issues — communicating solutions and enhancing relationships with law enforcement.

“The committee is the primary link between the NSA and the alarm industry on all issues including law enforcement response and policies regarding security systems,” said Martin. “It has been a privilege working with this organization for many years and I look forward to continuing to contribute to our shared mission of protecting the public.”

Sheriff Danny Glick, NSA president, said, “We appreciate Stan’s contribution and support for our organization and the citizens we protect and serve. SIAC’s insight on alarm management and technical expertise offered to our members without cost is a valuable asset as more sophisticated technology brings new challenges and opportunities for law enforcement.”
