ASSA ABLOY announced the integration of its Aperio wireless lock technology with the iTRUST 2.0 Web-based access control system from Monitor Dynamics. Monitor Dynamics has been a leader in the development of the unified platform concept by developing a centralized ecosystem. This integration offers customers a way to connect additional openings — drawers, lockers and cabinets — to its iTRUST 2.0 access control system.
Aperio is a global wireless platform from ASSA ABLOY Group brands available across a broad range of locking hardware.
iTRUST is a Web-based access control system and the kit comes with everything needed to get a system up and running without servers, software license fees, maintenance charges or classroom training. If using PoE power, there is no need for a power supply, yet security can be managed from anywhere using a PC, tablet or mobile device.
“Having the ability to take any iTRUST IP access control system and add the power of the Aperio IP wireless lock system to add eight additional access points, such as interior doors and cabinets or drawers with personnel records or financial information, for a very minimal cost is ground breaking,” said Derk Wallace, sales and marketing manager from Monitor Dynamics.
“Monitor Dynamics is the first ASSA ABLOY access control partner to integrate with the Aperio IP hub,” stated Martin Huddart, president Access and Egress Hardware Group, ASSA ABLOY Americas. “This integration offers significant benefits for customers, allowing them to use existing IT infrastructure to connect not only more openings, but a greater variety of openings to their iTrust system.”
The Aperio platform uses wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the lock and an Aperio hub to provide real-time communication to the access control system.
