Eagle Security Systems of Chico, Calif., was acquired by Mountain Acquisition Company (MAC) of Denver. This is the second major acquisition of MAC within the last six months, and MAC reports it will increase the company’s revenues by $2 million annually.
MAC CEO Chris Heath said, “We were immediately attracted to Eagle’s long and successful history of quality installations and dedication to customer service. Over the 35 years Eagle has been in business, Leo Weiss, the founder and former CEO of Eagle, has been able to gain the trust and confidence of his customers including many state and local government entities whose security is critical. Leo Weiss has persevered in the electronic security space and managed to build a successful company over the many years he has been in business; a testament to his dedication to the industry and to quality customer service. We are proud and grateful that he chose MAC from a number of suitors to succeed him.”
Eagle Security Systems offers a full line of commercial and residential security products and services including fire, burglar, access control, CCTV and wireless solutions to its customers. Its commercial installation base includes a wide range of private business, institutional and government customers; many of whom have relied on Eagle Security for decades, according to an MAC press release.
Since its inception, Eagle Security Systems has grown organically by offering security solutions that deliver superior quality and value. With 20 employees and $2 million a year in revenue, Eagle Security Systems has maintained a strong hold in its trade market by maintaining trust and rapport with all of its clients. Eagle is a Bosch dealer that boasts low customer churn and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, according to MAC.
Bud Jones, the current general manger for MAC’s Aspen market, will be assuming the role of general manager at Eagle Security Systems and plans to convert accounting and client management systems, rationalize daily operations and update the company’s technological footprint. “We would like to thank Leo Weiss, as well as Eagle employees Choua Thao and Rick Ingalls, for their help and hard work in making Eagle Security Systems an attractive acquisition for MAC,” Jones said. “We plan to continue to use what has worked for Eagle in the past and improve its operations and sales efforts for the future.”
