The New Product Showcase process, which began late last year when more than 80 companies began submitting their products for consideration, will culminate this afternoon when the winners of the 37th annual Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS). Twenty-five judges spent much of the day yesterday listening to presentations and evaluating entries to determine which entries are most deserving of awards in each of 31 categories, as well as the coveted top awards: Best New Product and Judges’ Choice.

At their discretion, judges may present an Honorable Mention Award to any non-winning entry they feel is also deserving is recognition. This year’s list of entries once again tops 100. At 3 p.m. today, SIA will recognize the winners on the lobby stage outside the main show floor entrance on Level 2. The presentation always draws a huge audience, so if you want to secure your space, you’ll want to arrive early.
