ONVIF Chairman Per Björkdahl will be a speaker at TEC 2016, presented by PSA Security Network. ONVIF will also be a PSA TEC 2016 sponsor and exhibitor.
Björkdahl will be speaking on “Cybersecurity, IoT and the Role of Standards” as part of the conference’s cyber security track on Thursday, May 12, at 1:15 PM. PSA TED will be held May 10-12 in Westminster, Colo., at the Westin Westminster. TEC 2016 features education and certification programs, networking opportunities and exhibits. ONVIF is a bronze level sponsor of TEC 2016 and will also be exhibiting at booth A9 in the Westminster Ballroom.
“As the line between physical and logical security continues to fade, securing information on networked devices and systems becomes a focal point for the physical security industry at large,” Björkdahl said. “It is important that the industry address the role standards can play in cybersecurity strategies, and this important relationship between cyber and physical security.”
In addition to its activities at TEC 2016, ONVIF will be a sponsor of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants’ annual conference April 17-20 in Charleston, S.C. The conference focuses on counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, data retention, travel risk management and partnership opportunities with other consultants.
