On May 5th, U.S. Representative Billy Long stopped at Digital Monitoring Products on his annual Ozarks Manufacturing Tour.
“We were very excited to host Billy Long here at DMP,” said Mark Hillenburg, executive director of marketing at DMP. “Increased attention to manufacturing products here in Missouri and America is critical to all of our future success. Congressman Long has been instrumental in bringing export opportunities to the 7th district manufacturers with his Ambassador Program, and with his positioning on key committees. We know that he has our back here in Southwest Missouri and is looking to do the right thing for the right reasons representing Missourians in Washington D.C.”
Long commented on how impressed he was with the high-tech nature of the facilities and the manufacturing area at DMP, and also on the 53-year success story created by the Britton Family, which started with Atlas Security and continued for the past 41 years as DMP. During the stop, officials from the Missouri Association of Manufacturers and the Springfield Chamber of Commerce accompanied Long on the tour of the facilities with a 70,000 square feet expansion underway. The tour concluded with a conversation with DMP executives about topics of interest to the Congressman, including increasing manufacturing job growth in Southwest Missouri and controlling over burdensome regulation from Washington.
