Lenel has received U.S. federal government approval for its new LNL-4420 intelligent system controller with embedded authentication. Following rigorous security vulnerability and interoperability testing for the Federal Identity, Credentialing and Access Management (FICAM) solutions program, Lenel’s LNL-4420 controller has been included on the General Services Administration’s Approved Product List. FICAM is a set of security disciplines designed to ensure federal systems and facilities are used by the right person, at the right time, for the right reason. Lenel is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
Lenel, in partnership with HID Global, now offers its OnGuard version 7.3 security management platform with a suite of products using HID pivCLASS software. The LNL-4420 includes an HID authentication code to support up to eight HID pivCLASS card readers.
OnGuard version 7.3 has also been enhanced to directly register federal agency credentials using HID’s software development kit. This enhancement streamlines the enrollment and validation process while reducing the need for applications outside of OnGuard software.
“Lenel is committed to helping secure the federal government segment,” said Ryan Kaltenbaugh, vice president, federal government solutions, Lenel. “Our new GSA-approved listing provides more options to government end users looking for FICAM-compliant solutions. In partnership with HID Global, Lenel continues to innovate with open hardware platforms and software solutions.”
