RS2 Technologies, LLC, a leading provider of access control systems, today announced that its Access It!® Universal.NET access control software, working through a dedicated EP-4502 panel supplied by Mercury Security, can now integrate with KONE Corporation’s Destination Control System (DCS). The KONE DCS optimizes elevator passenger traffic through a variety of passenger interface options, resulting in increased handling capacity, less waiting, fewer intermediate stops, enhanced security, improved passenger comfort, and other benefits. RS2’s panels and software communicate with both KONE’s COP (Car Operating Panels), which are located inside the elevator, and its DOP (Destination Operating Panels), which are located outside the elevator and are used to direct passenger traffic to the correct elevator, resulting in greater elevator traffic efficiency. The system can support up to 128 total floors.
According to RS2 Director of Dealer Development Dave Barnard, the integration with KONE “is yet another example of how RS2, working with our partners at Mercury, can help our end user customers enhance security in their facilities, achieve energy savings, and improve employee and visitor experience.”
RS2 invites its dealers and end-users to stop by its booth (#9117) at the ISC West Show (April 11-13, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA) to talk with company representatives about the KONE integration and several other new product features and integrations. The company will be discussing its recently released Access It!® Universal.NET Version 6.1, which includes not only the KONE integration, but also such features as LifeSafety Power’s Managed Power Integration, Calendar Based Scheduling, Auxiliary Authentication Module, Dynamic Area Control, and many more. Additionally, booth visitors can speak with newly-appointed RS2 National Sales Manager Jeff Bransfield. Bransfield currently serves as the company’s West Central Regional Sales Manager and will transition into his new position between now and July 1. Bransfield assumes the position currently held by RS2 co-founder Gary Staley. Staley will continue to serve RS2 as Senior Corporate Advisor, in which capacity he will handle some of the company’s strategic accounts and serve as a corporate resource for special projects.
