The SE MN Chapter (#346) of the National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC), one of 18 chapters that make up the Midwest Region, announced that its own Jodi Wiemerslage of Hunt Electric Corporation has been elected as the Midwest region director.

Wiemerslage joined NAWIC in July 2013 and has been instrumental in the growth of the Midwest chapter through participation and leadership roles on various committees and the board of directors. In five years, Wiemerslage has served as chapter president and chapter treasurer, and has chaired multiple committees for her local chapter, including STEAM, WIC Week, PR/Marketing & Membership, and Block Kids. In addition, Wiemerslage was named the 2015 Future Leader of the Year, and for the last two years has served as the Midwest region PR/marketing chair.
“Deciding to run for this role in our region was both difficult and easy to make,” Wiemerslage said. “I love my chapter and what NAWIC as an organization represents. My time as a member has helped me immeasurably, making me a better person, employee and leader. Ultimately, I saw this role as a way for me to help others experience the help and support I have received along the way. I am excited to be a part of shaping the next wave of opportunity for other members.”
As Midwest director, Jodi holds a seat on the national board of directors and will represent the interests of the 18 chapters in her region have influence on national initiatives and matters related to the strategic direction and growth of NAWIC during her term.
