DMP International has initiated a new structure to enhance our ability to service the global electronic security market. As a major part of this strategy, Joe Hurst, previously senior vice president of DMP, will move to the new role of president for DMP International.
DMP also added Jim Stevens as senior engineer.
Hurst and Stevens worked together for many years in the international market in senior management and technical roles with CADDX, InterlogiX and GE Security.
“This combination of DMP market leading intrusion products in the USA commercial market segment, combined with the strong international market and technical knowledge resource available with Jim Stevens and Joe Hurst, will allow DMP to make a significant push into this growing market opportunity,” said Rick Britton, president of DMP.
Hurst’s industry involvement includes serving on the board of directors for the Security Industry Association (SIA), including two terms as president. He was honored with SIA’s Lippert Award, presented annually to honor a distinguished individual from a SIA-member company for long-term, selfless service to the security industry and to SIA.
Jim Stevens was on the original SIA committee that established the SIA communicator format, was chairman of the SIA False Alarm Standards committee that established the CPO1 standard, and was a long-term member of the SIA Control Panel standards committee.
