Roy Pollack, author of SDM's 5 Minute Tech Quiz and director of training and compliance at Comcast/Xfinity Home, was appointed to his second National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) technical committee. Pollack was appointed to the National Electrical Code panel 16 technical committee, which includes communications systems, networking, antennas and network-powered broadband. This is Pollack’s second NFPA committee. He also serves on the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code committee.

Proud to represent his profession, Pollack said that taking part in the technical committee process has been both enjoyable and educational. “It’s really good to know you’ve been identified by your peers as having the qualifications and experience to be considered for a committee,” Pollack shared. Pollack is a CPP, SET and is NICET Level IV certified in the field of fire alarms. He holds electrical and alarm licenses in more than 30 states.
