Guardian Protection Services, a provider of smart security and automation for home and business, is expanding its presence in the southeastern U.S. with the opening of a branch in Brentwood, Tenn., 10 miles south of the Nashville city center. The site became operational Nov. 1. Guardian now markets from a corporate perspective in 20 states. In addition to its branch locations, Guardian has customer service and U.L. 24-hour monitoring centers in Arizona and Pennsylvania.
“We’ve been working diligently to identify the geographic areas where we can best grow our business,” said Guardian President Bryan Cipoletti. “Nashville is a good fit for us in that it has demographic characteristics similar to our current core market areas and is within an approximate 250-mile proximity of existing Guardian locations in Indianapolis and Cincinnati. We also have strong relationships with builder partners who have operations in Nashville and would like to be able to expand upon these.”
Guardian has hired industry veteran James Ward as general manager of the location. He began his career with Security Central of Arkansas Inc. and went on to found COP Security in Arkansas, which he operated for nearly 20 years. Ward is also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Heading-up operations is Tim Rae, who has more than 20 years of technical and management experience within the security industry.
The Nashville market represents a significant opportunity for Guardian. Forbes ranks it number seven on its 2018 annual fastest growing cities list, up from number 20 just one year ago. According to www.data.nashville.gov, nearly forty percent of the building permits issued in Nashville in the last year have been for new single-family homes.
Guardian will be marketing its smart home security and control solutions to existing homes and small businesses as well as the new home construction market. The company has experienced considerable growth of its smart home business in the past 12 years, thanks in part to the development of partnerships with new home builders. Guardian offers its sales, installation and service expertise as a turnkey method for builders to bring smart home technology to their buyers.
