EPS Security acquired Security Alarm Company (SAC) of Owosso, Mich., and in doing so welcomed 1,400 new business and residential customers to the EPS family. The acquisition includes their Owosso-based office along with retention of six SAC employees.

The newly acquired SAC customers will strengthen EPS Security’s customer base to nearly 30,000. This is the second acquisition for EPS in 2018. EPS Security acquired Comstock Park-based Video Tech Tronics and their 2,500 customers in May.

“Security Alarm Company has been securing the Lansing area and southeast region of Michigan since 1970,” said Kevin Carlson, president of EPS Security. “We look forward to providing the exceptional level of service SAC customers have come to expect.”

The acquisition of the Owosso-based office facilities provides EPS its first address east of Lansing. The location will allow EPS to better serve existing Lansing and southeast Michigan customers while providing an exceptional opportunity for future growth.

In the near future, EPS will begin moving SAC customers subscribed to 24/7 monitoring services to EPS Security’s owned and operated Monitoring Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.
