AFA Protective Systems Inc., ranked no. 23 on the SDM 100, has been awarded a multi-year fire alarm inspection contract at JFK airport by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The contract will last from March 1, 2019 through Feb. 28, 2021, and is worth $8,232,200, according to The Port Authority’s website.

This contract, along with the company’s normal organic growth, has enabled AFA to achieve a 20 percent increase in its recurring revenue base. 

“In some ways this contract is transformative,” said Richard Kleinman, president of AFA Protective Systems. “It’s exciting for the people that are here, it’s exciting for the company and it really energized a lot of people.”
