From the moment the Security Industry Association (SIA) opened the submission process for this year’s SIA New Product Showcase in late 2018, entries began rolling in, and more than 40 companies submitted their products for consideration. This afternoon, they’ll learn if their hard work paid off when the winners of the 40th annual New Product Showcase are announced.

Every product entered in this year’s showcase has been subjected to a rigorous judging process concluding yesterday. Representing a carefully selected cross section of the security industry, the 30 New Product Showcase judges (listed on page xx) split into panels and spent much of the day listening to 15-minute presentations and evaluating each of the entries to determine which products are most deserving of awards in each category and select the coveted Best New Product and Judges’ Choice Award winners. Once again this year, judges may at their discretion present an Honorable Mention Award to any non-winning entry they feel is also deserving of recognition. At 3:30 p.m. today, SIA will recognize the winners on the lobby stage outside the main show floor entrance on Level 2. The presentation always draws a huge audience, so arrive early to secure your spot.
