Guardian Alarm, one of the nation’s largest privately-held security companies, is now a Pillar Partner for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, a community organization that provides free emotional support for cancer patients, their families and loved ones. As a Gilda’s Club community Pillar Partner, Guardian Alarm has demonstrated its commitment by investing philanthropically in the non-profit’s cancer and grief programs and events offered throughout the year.

“We all know someone who has battled cancer, including many of our colleagues at Guardian Alarm,” said Tom Erhardt, president and COO, Guardian Alarm. “We support Gilda’s Club because we are passionate about making sure families in the fight against cancer get the support and resources they need regardless of what they can pay.”

All Gilda’s Club programs are free, and they support children, adults, families and friends on any kind of cancer journey or those grieving a death due to any cause. Gilda’s Club is run completely on donations, and all funds raised in the community stay in West Michigan.

“We couldn’t be prouder to partner with an organization that is supporting the West Michigan community in this way,” Erhardt said. “Guardian Alarm is committed to investing in the safety and well-being in the communities we serve. Supporting Gilda’s Club directly aligns with our company culture to positively impact the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.”

To meet the personal safety and health needs of customers, Guardian Alarm offers medical monitoring services including Guardian’s Personal Help Buttons, Life Safety Solutions and Medication Dispensers.

“Helping people maintain their independence is near and dear to what we do at Guardian Medical Monitoring,” said Dave Crawford, vice president of Guardian’s medical response business. “This partnership is a perfect match for our business as well.”

Guardian Alarm has provided services in Michigan for more than eight decades, helping to monitor and protect families and businesses bringing peace of mind to the communities where they live and work.
