Quick Response, a national provider of 24/7 alarm monitoring, has gone live with The Monitoring Association’s (TMA) ASAP-to-PSAP service. Launched in 2011 as a public-private partnership, ASAP-to-PSAP is designed to increase the accuracy and efficiency of calls for service from alarm companies to Emergency Call Centers (ECC) across the United States. Quick Response is the 27th monitoring center to offer the life-saving service to its customers.
“The efficiencies and expedited response time that ASAP-to-PSAP provides was the most important factor for us,” said Marty Borer, Quick Response general manager. “The benefits to both the end user and dealer are apparent and we are excited to be participating in this superior program.”
“The security industry is in the business of life safety. Manufacturers and service providers collectively dedicate their resources to the innovation of products and services that protect and save lives,” said Don Young, TMA president. “TMA’s ASAP-to-PSAP service is one of the most effective tools available to today’s monitoring centers and local/regional emergency communications centers to increase the speed and accuracy of emergency communications, which ultimately results in reduced response times and increased opportunities to save lives.”
The service utilizes American National Standard Institute (ANSI) standard protocols developed cooperatively by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) and The Monitoring Association.Learn more online at https://tma.us/programs/asap/.
