ISC West, in collaboration with the Security Industry Association (SIA), has announced that ISC West 2021 will now take place from July 19-21. The event was originally slated to be held March 23-26 at The Venetian Resort and Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“We thank The Venetian Resort for their leadership, partnership and ongoing dedication to bringing our event back safely,” ISC West said in an email. “We’re pleased to have a plan in place to produce ISC West in 2021, and after a long respite, the ISC and SIA teams look forward to welcoming our customers back to Las Vegas for strong education, demos, product announcements, awards ceremonies, networking opportunities, special events and more.”

The 2021 event model will also offer a hybrid format, with both face-to-face conference pass and virtual conference pass options available. Additionally, the 2021 SIA Education@ISC West program will add new topics like a track on health and safety best practices in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including case studies and technology solutions that address employee/customer wellness and access control, business continuity and facilities management.

“Now more than ever, the security industry’s integrators/installers/dealers/consultants and end-user practitioners have an essential services role, with heightened responsibility for protecting companies, employees, customers and the public,” ISC West said. “The 2021 event will further accelerate the convergence of security, public safety and health tech solutions, and chart the course for expanded levels of public-private sector cooperation and results.”

To ensure that ISC West is the safe environment for a live event, the Reed Exhibitions Health & Safety Task Force, along with the Sands Expo venue, will ensure that all key health and safety protocols and systems are in place for hygiene and cleaning, air conditioning and ventilation, physical distancing, PPE, health tech and health services.

The new ISC West schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, July 19: morning keynote, Day 1 of SIA Education@ISC West, and Day 1 of the expo
  • Tuesday, July 20: morning keynote, Day 2 of SIA Education@ISC West, and Day 2 of the expo
  • Wednesday, July 21: Women in Security/Diversity & Inclusion Breakfast and Keynote, Day 3 of SIA Education@ISC West, Day 3 of the expo, plus a high-profile closing keynote general session to wrap up the event

In addition to ISC West taking place July 19-21, Expo Seguridad is scheduled for July 6-8 in Mexico City, ISC Brasil on September 22-24 in Sao Paulo, and ISC East (co-located with the new event, Natural Disaster & Emergency Management Expo) on November 17-18 in New York City.

Pierre Trapanese, chairman of SIA and CEO of Northland Controls, said that SIA will continue to expand on its online training programs, virtual events, research and content leading up to ISC West.

“SIA and I look forward to all of us getting back together in person for business, learning and networking in the coming year,” he said. “Most importantly, we look forward to doing it safely.”

According to Trapanese, the announcement comes as businesses continue to adapt to the pandemic and plan for potential travel in the future.

“I hope this helps provide some better planning clarity to our membership and for the people who attend, exhibit, or otherwise participate at ISC West,” Trapanese said.

In early December, further planning details and updated timelines for registration, hotel reservations, and details on additional services, features and guidelines for the 2021 show will be announced.
