Fedora Security of Charlotte, N.C., and Intertech Ci of Pittsburgh, have merged their companies to become the new Fedora Intertech.

Fedora Intertech will serve organizations in the U.S. and abroad, combining Fedora Security’s security technologies and Intertech’s expertise in systems integration to provide technologies that connect, protect and communicate.

Ron Chaimovski will be executive chairman of Fedora Intertech. Ben Khoushy and Ron Petnuch will be the company’s co-CEOs.

Fedora Security was formed in 2015 and grew to be a global provider of video analytics solutions, UL and five diamond-certified monitoring, and security management tools used in multiple industries, particularly construction. Based in Charlotte, with an additional office in Tel Aviv, Israel, Fedora brought in-house solutions to the security technology community.

“Fedora Security has grown and has a strong, loyal customer base to offer its state-of-the-art smart security solutions,” said Chaimovski and Khoushy in a joint statement. “We saw Intertech Ci as a natural partner because they offer new execution capabilities in additional industries and locations as an established integrator of the types of systems we design and manage.”

The former Intertech Ci began in Pittsburgh in 2000 as a security systems integration company. They subsequently grew to Florida, Texas and Ohio and broadened their expertise to technology solutions for organizations in a variety of industries that need complex electronic systems to improve safety, security, productivity and performance. Intertech Ci was 64th on the 2018 SDM 100.

“This is a great opportunity focused on growth. Growth of our skills, expertise and offerings to bring more to our clients; growth in our organization overall and growth opportunities for our employees,” Petnuch said.

The new company will continue to have corporate locations in Pittsburgh; Charlotte; San Antonio and Houston, Texas; Naples, Fla.; Akron, Ohio; and Tel Aviv, Israel.
