CertaSite, a commercial fire protection and life safety company, announced it has acquired Craynon Fire Protection, a fire protection company that serves Dayton and the surrounding areas. The acquisition is CertaSite’s fifth in Ohio.
CertaSite provides the highest levels of customer service, responsiveness, building safety and code compliance to customers across the Midwest. The company goes beyond compliance, focusing on partnerships and professionalism while providing customers a simplified and dependable solution to managing all of the fire protection and life safety systems in commercial buildings.
A fire protection business with 20 years rooted in Dayton and more than 40 years of combined industry experience, Craynon have extensive experience in providing services for fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, suppression systems, and emergency lighting solutions to their loyal customers. Craynon’s solid reputation in the region will allow the company to grow its customer base and expand into new markets under the CertaSite umbrella.

With the close of the acquisition, 22 employees are joining CertaSite. Craynon’s owners Ron Caplinger and Tom Doty will remain with the company in new roles, while current CertaSite District Manager Brian Cooper will oversee office management.
