Sine's technologies will support a cloud-based mobile platform for Honeywell Forge, Honeywell's enterprise performance management offering, and Sine's software will augment Honeywell's Connected Buildings offerings with expanded safety, security and compliance capabilities.

Honeywell and Microsoft announced today that Honeywell will bring to market its domain-specific applications built on the Microsoft cloud platform to drive new levels of productivity for industrial clients. 

Honeywell, a global provider of fire and life safety, today launched the first tools from its new suite of Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS), its first all-in-one cloud platform for fire safety systems. 

From an entry level security system to a fully integrated smart home solution, the ProSeries Platform offers dealers that serve residential and small businesses a complete, end-to-end solution, and expands Resideo's overall portfolio of connected security solutions and services.

Security industry trailblazer Scott Simon passed away suddenly this week, according to Lance Dean, with whom he co-founded 2GIG Technologies following their time together at Honeywell. 

Through this agreement, ScanSource broadens its base of video surveillance, access control and intrusion prevention products and solutions, while enabling partners to purchase Honeywell’s commercial security solutions directly through ScanSource. 

This year’s CONNECT conference, held Oct. 24-26 in Phoenix, Ariz., marked a new beginning for Resideo, as it was the first the company has hosted independently since spinning off from Honeywell last year. The three-day-long event didn’t hesitate to send a strong message as to what Resideo’s focus will now be: playing to the strengths of its security dealers and other professionals in the HVAC, plumbing and electrical trades to bring seamlessly connected and easy-to-use smart home technologies to consumers.
