Carrier Chairman & CEO David Gitlin said that selling the Commercial and Residential Fire business is a significant part of the Carrier's strategy to streamline operations and focus on becoming a more agile, high-growth company with a strong commitment to sustainability.
The transaction represents the latest step in Carrier's ongoing portfolio transformation, following the recent acquisition of Viessmann Climate Solutions and the recently announced agreements to sell Carrier's Global Access Solutions business to Honeywell.
The Carrier Global Access Solutions business includes hardware and software brands, including LenelS2, Supra and Onity. The transaction is expected to close before the end of Q3 2024.
