Highlights from this week's Security News Round-Up.

To attend Securing New Ground is to get an insider’s look at the microcosm of the whole security industry all in the space of a day and a half.

According to the announcement, this year’s Securing New Ground conference will cover industry trends and offer opportunities to engage with the leaders who are driving the future of security.

In addition to the Keynote Series, this year’s event will offer its largest SIA Education@ISC program yet with 70+ sessions and 150 speakers — all carefully curated by the newly formed SIA Education@ISC Advisory Board.

The symposium will be held March 1-2 for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and March 2-3 for both the Asia-Pacific and Americas events.

The NSCA Education Foundation announced its first-ever virtual fundraiser to celebrate its 20th anniversary and raise funds to support ongoing industry initiatives. After cancelling three planned fundraising events in 2020, “Cheers to 20 Years” is a completely online experience held on Dec. 3, 2020, from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. central time.

ONVIF, a global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, hosted its 22nd ONVIF Developers’ Plugfest as a virtual event in October, supporting the continued demand for interoperable solutions.

The event covered three days of education, entertainment and thought leadership.
