The Women’s Security Council, a network of successful security professionals focused on promoting the advancement of women in the industry, unveiled its Women of the Year awards program. The inaugural initiative aims to recognize the top female professionals in the physical security industry in a variety of categories.
SecurityXchange has come a long way since it was founded shortly after 9/11. Every year the event gathers together integrators and manufacturers for targeted meetings focused on relationships, both establishing new ones and fortifying existing relationships, as well as finding new technology solutions. This year, more than 325 scheduled meetings occurred during the event — in addition to the impromptu meetings over lunch, dinner and drinks.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C., was the venue at which the Electronic Security Association announced its 2011 Sara E. Jackson Memorial Award winner and 2010 Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year Award winner.
