ESA of Florida (ESA-FL), the newest chartered chapter of the Electronic Security Association (ESA), held its inaugural convention and Youth Scholarship Golf Tournament on Mon., Feb. 18, at the Golden Bear Club in Windermere, Fla.
The convention started with the ESA-FL board of directors meeting, where the chapter’s leaders discussed new initiatives, planned strategies for reaching out to other groups as potential allies, and discussed development of training and education in the state.
The Electronic Security Association (ESA) is seeking standard change proposals. In 2007, the ESA received approval for its first standard, ANSI/ESA SRSS-01-2007, for remote supervising station. This standard, developed by ESA, provided a guide for the monitoring of fire alarm systems at a remote station as identified in NFPA 72.
