Kings III Emergency Communications, an emergency monitoring solutions provider, announced its strategic acquisition of ESRM Communications, a Florida-based competitor. All ESRM operations, services and customer accounts will be absorbed under the Kings III brand. 

American Defense Systems has acquired Point Security, a fellow Brinks Home Security authorized dealer in Austin, Texas. While the transaction officially closed July 17, both companies have been working together, installing smart security systems for Brinks Home Security. 

As part of a continuing initiative to expand its local presence across the U.S., SnapAV has acquired Custom Plus Distributing, a regional distributor on the West Coast. 

VITAPROTECH Group, a provider of security for critical sites, continues its European development with the acquisition of VAUBAN SYSTEMS, a provider of “100% made in France” access control products and systems. 

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company in North America, has acquired Shetler Security Services, a Phoenix, Ariz.-based company offering security solutions on a national level. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

ADS Security, a regional security and automation company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., has acquired the customer accounts of Duncan Security Systems of Nashville. ADS will service and monitor the new customer accounts out of its local branch and monitoring center in Nashville. 

Resideo Technologies Inc. has acquired Pittsburgh-based LifeWhere. The newly acquired company uses machine learning and analytics to predict potential failure on critical home appliances, such as water heaters, furnaces and air conditioners. 

ADT continues expanding capabilities and geographic reach via Red Hawk Fire & Security, ADT Commercial with the asset purchase agreement of Security Corporation, a commercial security integrator headquartered in Detroit, Mich. with offices in Novi (Detroit), Mich. and Columbus, Ohio. 

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company ranked no. 56 on the SDM 100, announced the acquisition of Cypress Private Security LP, a San Francisco-based company offering comprehensive security services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Banner Solutions, a national wholesaler of security opening hardware products, announced the acquisition of Berg Wholesale, an Oregon-based distributor of door and bath hardware.
