OzVision, a developer of hosted video solutions, announced at ISC West that it has created a program to provide dealers of all sizes with the ability to compete in the hosted video-as-a-service (HVaaS) marketplace.
After terminating an 11-year relationship with Samsung at the beginning of this year, GVI Security Solutions, Carrollton, Texas, a developer and producer of video surveillance solutions for the mass mid-market, announced it will embark on a similarly structured strategic partnership with LG Electronics, Seoul, Korea. GVI will serve as LG’s master distributor and will represent LG’s line of advanced video surveillance solutions in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

A new dealer program from Alarm Capital Alliance (ACA), Media, Penn., is designed to allow dealers to add additional cash flow without rebranding. ACA purchases accounts from alarm dealers who, in most scenarios, are staying in business and continue a relationship with the accounts they sell. According to Amy Kothari, ACA’s president and chief executive officer, the new program was initiated by request from many of ACA’s dealers who were looking for an ongoing purchase program.
Mission 500, a non-profit initiative driven by the security professionals dedicated to serving the needs of children and communities in crisis, will recognize Pelco by Schneider Electric as the 2011 Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award winner. Additionally, Barbara Holliday of Monitronics will receive the 2011 Mission 500 Humanitarian Award. The Awards will be presented at a cocktail reception on Thursday during ISC West.
