The Security Industry Association (SIA) today opens a call for nominees to receive the George R. Lippert Memorial Award, which is presented annually at SIA Honors Night in New York City to honor a distinguished individual from a SIA Member company for long-term, selfless service to the security industry and to SIA. (SIA Honors Night is scheduled for Nov. 15 in New York City, concurrent with ISC East.)
 

For the second year in a row, Oklahoma provider of security and smart home solutions, Guardian Security Systems, has been selected as one of the “Best Places to Work in Oklahoma,” an annual list created by Best Companies Group to recognize companies that excel in creating quality workplaces.

ADS Security, a regional security company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., was recently named a Fast 50 company by the Nashville Business Journal. 

Demand for security cameras is projected to increase 7.2 percent annually through 2021 to $2.8 billion, according to Video Surveillance Equipment Market in the U.S., a new study from Cleveland-based industry research firm Freedonia.

According to a report by Jon Cropley, principal analyst for video surveillance at IHS Markit, the world market for professional video surveillance equipment grew by 3.9 percent in 2016. While this is a higher rate of growth than in 2015 (1.9 percent), it is still low by historical standards, IHS reported.

Software company Police Priority announced integration between SureView System’s Immix central station software and Police Priority’s CAST technology. The integration will provide all central monitoring stations on the Immix system the capability to seamlessly access Police Priority’s CAST technology.
