Police Protection, based in Charlotte, N.C., announced that security platform company Global Guardian, out of McLean, Va., is using its Cooperative Alarm Sharing Transmission (CAST) product and that a dozen large monitoring companies have agreed to pilot it.

Guardian Alarm announced it has closed on the sale of the company to U.S.-based investment firms Certares LP and Vanwall Holdings LLC, together with company management.
