 As anyone who’s ever started or seriously contemplated starting their own business knows the going can be tough, particularly in the beginning. However, the roots of entrepreneurship run deep in Oliver Keeling’s family — his father teaches on the subject at Iowa State University, and several relatives own and operate their own businesses. U.S. Air Force and Army veteran Keeling said he was fortunate to have this strong support system when he left the large national security company where he’d grown comfortable in his role as a local technician and founded Astra Security LLC in July 2013.  

When searching for office space, companies today are looking for more than just a building. They need a space that strategically positions the company to gain competitive advantages and improve business processes.

G4S Technology, Omaha, Neb., was awarded a $1.8 million contract to upgrade security for the Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport located in Killeen, Texas. The contract, signed in May 2014, includes a command and control center, access control, integration with the city’s existing video management system, and a five-year maintenance agreement on the system, spare parts and back-up servers.

The integration of the Mobotix ExtIO module with the dealership’s existing public address system enabled the system to automate the playing of two customized audible messages. From 9 p.m. to midnight, a female voice welcomes guests to the dealership but lets them know the lot is being monitored. Another message is played from midnight to 6 a.m.

HID Global®, a privder of secure identity solutions announced that its access control products, along with door-opening solutions from parent ASSA ABLOY, are being used in various solutions across six of the 12 stadiums in Brazil now hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup football matches through July 13, 2014. 

By utilizing the system, CJC investigators can coordinate and begin the investigative process with a minimal amount of trauma to the child victims of physical or sexual abuse.

 IQinVision announced that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWSFC), in La Jolla, CA, has installed IQinVision megapixel cameras to provide surveillance of the experiments conducted in their new Ocean Technology Development Tank.  

The school district is continually reviewing the status of the fire alarm systems within its remaining schools and will potentially be replacing those systems as warranted.

MorphoTrak, a Morpho (Safran) company based in the U.S., partnered with Identity One as integrator to deliver a seamless biometric access and time-and-attendance system to a large North American freight railroad network company.
