Almost all integrators and manufacturers agree that standards are and will continue to be a good thing for the industry. When it comes to integration between access control and video, two of the main standards bodies are ONVIF and PSIA (Physical Security Interoperability Alliance).
PSA Security Network, Westminster, Colo., announced a new vendor partnership with Videotec, an Italian-based company with a U.S. office in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Videotec’s integrated outdoor CCTV applications have been distributed for more than 25 years and are currently being used in thousands of security projects worldwide, including traffic and urban monitoring installations and ultra-high-risk oil and gas and on/offshore marine environments.
4K is making the leap from the consumer space to the security industry, bringing with it the promise of higher resolution, greater detail and better overall video.
