PSA, the world’s largest consortium of professional systems integrators, today announced the addition of IP Technology Labs, an American manufacturer of secure endpoint IoT connectivity and remote access solutions, to its network of partners.

OpenEye, a provider of cloud-managed video surveillance solutions, is expanding its partner ecosystem with a new cloud-to-cloud integration with Brivo, a cloud-based access control and security platform. 

Senstar, a global provider of video management software and perimeter intrusion detection solutions, announced that its Senstar Symphony Access Control (AC) software now integrates with the new HID Aero Controller platform. 

Genetec Inc., a provider of unified security, public safety, operations and business intelligence solutions, announced that the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, an iconic amusement park in California, has recently upgraded its security infrastructure with the Security Center platform.

Each October one of my favorite stories to write comes around: The systems integrator of the year. I love delving into a company’s history and culture and learning what has made them a success worthy of being chosen for this award.

They say a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. So perhaps it was fortuitous that the founding partners of Stone Security — all members of the Edmunds family in Salt Lake City — had no background in security integration when they formed the company in 2006. Steve Edmunds, a retired Air Force captain and Delta Airlines pilot, started the business with his sons and son-in-law after a brief foray into residential security, which they quickly discovered wasn’t for them.
