VuWall Technology Inc. announced a new plugin for the Genetec Security Center unified security platform. The VuWall plugin now enables security system builders to integrate Matrox Mura IPX high-density decoder cards for the simultaneous decoding of hundreds of IP cameras on a single video wall. The plugin also allows system operators to access the powerful VuWall2 video wall software feature set from within the Genetec software interface to manage all IP sources.

August Home, Inc. announced that the intelligence of its proprietary DoorSense technology has been added to the August Smart Lock skill for Amazon Alexa. In September, August began shipping two new smart locks, the August Smart Lock, 3rd generation and the August Smart Lock Pro. The new Smart Locks introduced DoorSense, an intelligent, integrated sensor that tells users if the door is open or closed. Many people leave their homes believing their door is securely closed and locked when in reality, the door is ajar and the deadbolt hasn’t engaged properly. With DoorSense, users have peace of mind knowing their door is both closed and locked.

Waypoint announced strategic partnership agreements with two subscription-based cloud offering platforms, Virtusa and StreamOne Enterprise (formerly Avnet / TechData), as well as certified expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS). These platforms will help Waypoint clients to eliminate the capital expense associated with the hardware and software needed to deliver data management and analytics projects, while also reducing the burden on their existing IT departments.
