Trans-Alarm Inc., ranked No. 57 on the SDM 100, announced today that it completed the sale of Automated Entrance Products Inc. to Stanley Mechanical Security, a division of The Stanley Works.
Trans-Alarm will focus exclusively on security products going forward and Stanley will introduce its many resources to expand the entrance business in the local market. Both companies will continue to work closely on joint projects to serve the needs of security and automated entrance customers.

Automated Entrance Products Inc. is a supplier of power-operated doors for commercial, retail and healthcare facilities. Founded in 1986, AEPI was formerly a distributor for the Stanley Access product group.
Trans-Alarm Inc. was founded in 1966 and is a Twin Cities provider of security and fire systems, fire and alarm monitoring, video security, access control, and planned maintenance services to commercial and industrial clients in the upper Midwest. The company operates a U.L. listed and Five Diamond Certified central station at its headquarters in Burnsville, Minn.
