Russell Cersosimo, CEO of Guardian Protection Services Inc., issued an announcement yesterday that the company purchased Ranger American’s Florida operations, which gives Guardian Protection coverage in Orlando, Bradenton, Melbourne, and Tampa, Fla.
Ranger American/Florida is the largest provider of home technology solutions in Florida with a substantial number of well-developed builder relationships, Guardian Protection stated. Ranger American/Florida was a division of Ranger American, ADT’s largest authorized dealer.
The purchase will add 800 “rooftops” per month to Guardian’s production within its product lines of installed home security, structured wiring, distributed audio and other home technologies. The acquisition will also add 80 builder partners and more than 225 new Guardian employees, according to Guardian Protection.
“I visited the Ranger American offices to formally meet the employees and I was impressed by their enthusiastic welcome,” Cersosimo said. “I am convinced the merger between our existing talent pool and the remarkable team at Ranger will be seamless.”
While adding significant account volume and expanding Guardian’s footprint in a manner consistent with its goals, Guardian expects the merger to increase its gross revenue by $20 million. Guardian Protection Services, one of the Armstrong Group of Companies, ranks as No. 8 on the SDM 100, with $5.2 million in recurring monthly revenue (based on Dec. 31, 2006 figures). Guardian Protection Services reported gross revenues of approximately $107 million in 2006. The firm has headquarters 20 miles north of Pittsburgh in Warrendale, Pa.
Its Guardian Home Technologies division markets to approximately 300 builders and provides structured wiring installations that create an infrastructure for advanced home technologies.
