During ISC East in mid-September, the New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA) presented its annual Presidents Award to John Lombardi, president of CIA Security, and a past president of the NYBFAA.
Current NYBFAA president Tim Creenan recognized John Lombardi for his years of industry involvement, serving as:
• president of the New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association.
• CSAA representative on the NFPA Committee for Premise Security.
• CSAA Education Committee co-chair and on the CSAA Executive Board.
• Founder of the Mid Hudson Alarm Association in Dutchess County, N.Y., where he presently serves as treasurer.

Creenan explained at the award presentation that under John’s leadership as president of the New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association, he refocused the association that was nearly bankrupt, into a vital active training-focused association, with a new executive director, active committees and a focus that now serves its members and industry with quality services.

Creenan recalled John’s first board meeting as president, where he said, “Things are going to be different now." And he did not let us down, Creenan said, adding “John’s vision of the future remains what it has always been -- education, involvement and commitment…”

Founded in 1981, the New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association is a chartered state alarm association of the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association.
