Ray Shilling, vice president of sales and marketing at AvaLAN Wireless Systems, has been chosen to deliver a feature presentation at the sixth annual Remote Monitoring & Networking Conference on Nov. 6 and 7 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Shilling will deliver a presentation on Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. titled “Installing Wireless Network-based Security Devices Using the Increasingly Crowded Unlicensed Radio Spectrum.”
“The use of wireless network technologies is expanding rapidly; so much so that it is becoming increasingly critical for integrators to fully research the subject prior to deploying products in this very crowded unlicensed bandwidth space,” Shilling said.
In his talk, Shilling will discuss the defining characteristics of unlicensed bandwidth currently available, addressing key issues such as interference avoidance, and understanding what analytical hardware/software tools and installation tricks should be considered for a successful installation. He will discuss the pros and cons of deploying licensed versus unlicensed RF products to ensure a fully functioning installation.
The Remote Monitoring & Networking Conference focuses on the leading advancements for the monitoring and management of distributed equipment and facilities, remote assets, automated process and system controls and device networks.
