Jim Cogswell, False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA) president and Chris Russell, TBFAA president will host a forum called “False Alarm Reduction Workshop.”
“We expect many attendees,” said Russell, “since many cities are facing difficult and different issues with false alarms. FARA brings a police and municipality perspective that helps TBFAA members understand the policy changes that could affect the industry.”
Also participating at the convention will be representatives of the National Electronic Security Alliance. NESA will hold its regularly scheduled national board of directors meeting at the convention. Also, Rex Adams will be honored as the TBFAA Man of the Year. Rex has served the alarm industry for more than 20 years as TBFAA president, North Texas Alarm Association president and, most currently, as NESA president.
Along with a multitude of workshops good for CE credits, the convention will also feature a President’s Reception, TBFAA awards dinner, the TBFAA trade show with more than 40 vendors, and a Casino Night.
Registration information can be found at the TBFAA web site, www.tbfaa.org.
